Important: We are not Shell, Chevron, Exxon/Mobil, BP, or any other fuel brand. Brand names are used only for identification and educational context. For account-specific refunds, loyalty issues or station policies, use the station’s official support channel.
Safety first: Stop fueling and contact station staff if you smell a strong fuel odor, see a leak, notice damaged equipment, or encounter an emergency. Never pry open, bypass, or tamper with a pump, card reader, dispenser cabinet, or safety system.

Quick answers

Frequently asked questions

Does this site provide official gas-station customer service?

No. This is an independent educational guide. It does not represent, operate, or speak for any fuel retailer, payment network, card issuer, or EV charging company.

Can every problem be fixed by the customer?

No. Some issues require station staff, the card issuer, the payment network, the charging operator, or emergency services. The guides explain when to hand the issue off.

Why might my bank show a different amount from what I pumped?

Fuel transactions can use temporary authorization holds. The final posted transaction may differ after the station completes settlement. Check the guide on preauthorization holds for the normal sequence and when to contact your bank.

Can I remove a card reader or open the pump?

No. Do not disassemble or bypass station equipment. Ask station staff to inspect or reset equipment that is not working.
